How Maya’s Came to be:
Born in Martinique was a stunning woman called Maya, she grew up in Guadeloupe and went to school in France.
Born in Pennsylvania was a boy called Randy. He grew up in Massachusetts. They met in St Barth's in the mid 70's and lived on a sailboat for 8 years before moving ashore. Maya's Restaurant opened in the late fall of 1984. Maya's concept since the beginning was to change the menu daily, use the freshest products available and to keep things simple and clean.
